Gardens of the Strahov Monastery

These gardens are comprised of two small gardens called Convent and Abbot Garden, a small Vyhlidka (Lookout) with a vineyard and the Great Strahov Garden which is the only one open to the public.

Founded in the Early - Medieval times as a utility garden, it covers the hillside at the Strahov Monastery. It has been preserved as an orchard with patches of oak and hornbeam forest. In the past, more vineyards used to be there. The interior of the entrance pavillion at Uvoz is decorate with a copy of the image of the Strahov Madonna.
