V Zátiší Restaurant was first opened in 1991 as one of the first private restaurants in Prague. In this place where the beauties of hundred-spired Prague mingle with the top gastronomic art, you can try a unique combination of domestic and international delicacies  by chef Jacques Auffrays. V Zátiší has made a permanent place among the most significant Prague restaurants and it has become an integral part of life of not only Prague gourmets and artists, but also a restaurant demanded by foreign delegations and visits, in particular owing to the modern conception of the classical Czech cuisine. An inspiration for the current interior was the name of the restaurant “Zátiší“. It evokes an image of a painter´s studio, the atmosphere of which it tries to reflect in the space design: …  A stylized painter´s stepladder, a piled up bookcase, plaster patterns of flowers, flying candles, gradient painting and paintings of still life… The restaurant has established its collection of Czech still lifes, and apart from copies you can also see originals.
